An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ecologist to join a well-established, independent ecological consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality ecological solutions across residential, commercial, infrastructure and renewable energy projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Ecologist to join a supportive and collaborative team, working across a diverse range of projects while developing your technical skills and progressing your career. The successful Ecologist will contribute to habitat and protected species surveys, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, ecological reporting and mitigation.

Requirements:

• Degree in Ecology or a closely related subject
• Previous ecological consultancy experience
• Experience with habitat and/or protected species surveys
• Good report writing and IT skills
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Living in or near Winchester, or able to commute to the office
