An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Ecologist to join a growing environmental consultancy delivering ecology, Biodiversity Net Gain and environmental services across the UK. The company works with major clients across the built environment, construction, infrastructure and retail sectors, offering varied and interesting projects within a supportive and progressive team.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will:

• Undertake protected species and habitat surveys
• Complete PEAs, EcIAs and ecological assessments
• Support Biodiversity Net Gain projects
• Produce technical reports, method statements and mitigation strategies
• Manage projects and liaise with clients, contractors and colleagues
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the consultancy

Requirements:

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related subject
• Consultancy experience with ecological surveys and assessments
• Protected species survey experience; relevant licences advantageous
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Full right to work in the UK
• Living in or within a commutable distance of the Newcastle office
