A global leading manufacturer of precision engineered components to the Aerospace, Defence & Energy Sectors has a new vacancy for a Continuous Improvement Engineer.  Working as part of the operational excellence team, you will identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, enhance quality, and increase productivity. Candidates are sought with a good understanding of CNC machining processes and will have worked in a fast paced highly regulated manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, defence, etc)

The Role

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and optimise manufacturing processes.

Analyse production data, identify trends, and develop action plans.

Asses and improve machining operations, including machine utilisation, tooling performance and workflow efficiency.

Work closely with CNC programmers and Manufacturing Engineers to maximise machine productivity.

Lead continuous improvement projects from initial assessment through to implementation.

Work collaboratively with production, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams.

Develop and monitor KPIs to measure improvement performance.

Support standardisation, problem-solving, and employee engagement initiatives.

Ensure improvements meet health, safety, quality, and operational standards.

The Person

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.

A good understanding of CNC machining processes.

Previous experience within a fast paced and highly regulated environment ((aerospace, defence, energy, etc).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical solutions.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A proactive approach with a passion for challenging the status quo.
