An established and highly successful manufacturing organisation is seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead to champion operational excellence across a complex production environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Continuous Improvement professional to lead site-wide improvement initiatives, embed a culture of operational excellence, and deliver measurable business improvements using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
You will play a key role in driving performance, coaching teams at all levels, and delivering strategic transformation projects that improve quality, efficiency, cost, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the site's Continuous Improvement strategy and roadmap.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
- Coach and support teams in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
- Lead Kaizen events and improvement workshops.
- Implement and sustain tools including:
- Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma
- 5S
- SMED
- Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
- Visual Management
- Standard Work
- Poka-Yoke
- Root Cause Analysis
- 8D Methodology
- Manage and prioritise a portfolio of improvement projects.
- Develop business cases and deliver cost-saving initiatives.
- Support performance management processes and visual management systems.
- Use data analysis and statistical tools to identify opportunities and drive decision-making.
- Partner with operations, engineering, quality and maintenance teams to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Ensure improvements are implemented in line with quality and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience leading Continuous Improvement programmes within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Demonstrated success delivering cultural change and operational transformation.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication, coaching and influencing abilities.
- Ability to analyse data and identify improvement opportunities.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt minimum (Black Belt advantageous).
- Lean Manufacturing certification or formal training preferred.
- At least 5 years' experience applying Lean and Six Sigma principles within manufacturing.
- Track record of delivering measurable operational improvements.
