Contract Manager - Converter Station build in Durham

Location: Murton, County Durham (Predominantly Site-Based)
Rate: £550/day Inside IR35
Start: Immediate

Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support the delivery of a major EPC infrastructure project based in Murton, County Durham.

This role will be responsible for the management and administration of complex engineering and construction contracts, ensuring contractual compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting successful project delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with project and commercial teams, providing expert contractual guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage and administer contractual obligations under an amended FIDIC EPC 2017 contract.
• Provide contractual and commercial support to project delivery teams.
• Manage contract correspondence, notifications, change control, variations and claims.
• Identify and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Support dispute avoidance and resolution activities.
• Ensure contractual compliance throughout project execution.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, clients and supply chain partners on contractual matters.
• Provide strategic contractual advice to support project objectives.

• Extensive experience in Contract Management within engineering, infrastructure, utilities, energy or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC EPC contracts, particularly FIDIC EPC 2017.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts.
• Experience managing contractual risk, claims, variations and change control processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a site-based project environment.
• Previous experience on major EPC or infrastructure projects.

• Quantity Surveying background.
• Experience within Power, Utilities, Transmission & Distribution or Energy sectors.
• Significant experience working on large-scale engineering and infrastructure projects.
