Contract Support Coordinator – Manchester (Hybrid) – Temporary with Potential to Go Permanent

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Contract Support to join a well-established facilities provider on a UK-wide contract, working from the client's head office at St Peter's Square, Manchester on a hybrid basis.

Role: Contract Support 
Contract: Temporary, with potential to become permanent for a strong candidate
Location: Manchester (hybrid)
Pay: £14.42 per hour PAYE (equivalent to £30,000 per annum)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

As Contract Support, you'll be a key point of coordination for a team of mobile engineers across the UK, keeping work scheduled, orders raised, and sites covered. The contract has been running for a few months, making this a great time to join an account while it's still bedding in.

About the contract:

  • 10 mobile engineers covering the North East, North West, Midlands, South East, and South West
  • Around 500 sites nationwide, with each engineer covering roughly 10 to 20 sites
  • You'll typically support 1 to 3 engineers depending on region and workload

Key responsibilities of the Contract Support role include:

  • Scheduling and coordinating engineer visits for planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive work
  • Raising and managing purchase orders
  • Acting as the day-to-day contact for your allocated engineers
  • Handling helpdesk queries and responding to reactive requests promptly
  • Keeping job records accurate and up to date on the client's system
  • Liaising with the wider contract team and escalating issues where needed
  • Supporting reporting and general contract administration

What we're looking for:

Essential:

  • Experience in an administrative or coordination role, ideally scheduling engineers, raising purchase orders, or similar
  • Strong organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Clear written and verbal communication with engineers and the wider team
  • Comfortable learning new systems quickly
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Helpdesk or call-handling experience
  • Experience with job management or CAFM-type systems
