Contracts Manager

The Role

We are working with an established and growing groundworks contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to support the Build Director and wider operational team.

This is a new position within the business, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential groundworks professional to take on greater responsibility and progress their career within a growing company.

The successful candidate will oversee approximately 5–6 live residential sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support the delivery of approximately 5–6 residential groundworks projects.
• Work closely with the Build Director and wider site teams.
• Provide leadership and support to Site Managers and operational teams.
• Monitor programme, progress, quality and health & safety across projects.
• Manage subcontractors, labour and resources effectively.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and main contractors.
• Identify and resolve issues before they impact programme or cost.
• Attend site meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Help drive consistency and best practice across all sites.

About You.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within residential groundworks.
• Strong understanding of residential construction and groundworks operations.
• Experience managing multiple sites simultaneously.
• The confidence to lead Site Managers and wider teams.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• A strong personality and positive attitude.
• The ability to build good working relationships at all levels.
