About the Role
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing several commercial joinery projects simultaneously from pre-start through to final account, ensuring programmes, quality, budgets and client expectations are achieved.
Previous experience managing bespoke joinery or shopfitting packages is essential, along with a strong understanding of commercial fit out projects. This is a hands-on management role requiring excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing multiple commercial joinery and fit out projects simultaneously.
- Coordinating project programmes to ensure works are delivered on time.
- Managing subcontractors, site teams and suppliers.
- Liaising with Tier One main contractors and attending regular site meetings.
- Monitoring project costs and supporting commercial performance.
- Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout each project.
- Overseeing health and safety compliance across all sites.
- Resolving technical and operational issues as they arise.
- Maintaining strong client relationships and encouraging repeat business.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Contracts Manager within joinery, shopfitting or bespoke fit out.
- Strong joinery background is essential.
- Experience delivering projects for Tier One main contractors.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage project budgets.
- Full UK driving licence.
