- Managing the delivery and performance of planned maintenance, refurbishment, and capital works contracts
- Overseeing contractors to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
- Managing contract performance, costs, programmes, variations, and commercial outcomes
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, consultants, residents, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Monitoring project progress through regular meetings, site visits, inspections, and performance reviews
- Ensuring contracts comply with relevant legislation, health & safety requirements, building regulations, and organisational policies
- Reviewing specifications, programmes, valuations, variations, and contractor performance
- Producing accurate reports and management information to support effective governance and decision-making
- Identifying risks and opportunities and implementing appropriate actions to ensure successful contract delivery
- Driving continuous improvement and ensuring residents receive a high-quality service throughout the delivery of works
- Previous experience working in a Contracts Manager, Contract Manager, or senior project management position
- Experience managing planned maintenance, refurbishment, capital works, or similar construction programmes
- Strong knowledge of contract management, construction, procurement, and commercial processes
- Experience managing contractors and monitoring contract performance
- Strong understanding of health & safety, building regulations, and relevant housing legislation
- Excellent financial management and reporting skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience working within social housing or a similar public-sector environment would be highly advantageous
- A relevant construction, surveying, property, or project management qualification would be desirable
