Summary We’re looking for a commercially driven Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team. This role suits an individual with strong expertise in managing contracts, cost control, and project financial performance. You’ll play a vital part in ensuring contractual compliance, controlling variations, and driving profitability across key operations.

Location and Working Pattern Office-based, 39 hours per week

Responsibilities
- Manage and control project costs to ensure budgets and commercial targets are achieved
- Administer and manage variations in line with contractual terms
- Monitor and report on project financial performance and forecasts
- Provide cost analysis and feedback to production teams to aid decision-making
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
- Support the implementation of improved cost and time control processes
- Interpret and apply contract requirements effectively within project environments
- Assist in resolving commercial issues and discrepancies across project documentation
- Work closely with clients, engineers, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field
- Strong understanding of contract management and commercial principles
- Proven cost control, variation management, and financial reporting experience
- Previous experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing project environments
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical capability
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Experience in resolving discrepancies between design, specification, and site conditions
