SF Partners are working with a business in Birmingham who are looking for a Contracts Manager on an interim basis until March 2027
£500 per day (Umbrella Inside IR35)
The Role
As Contract Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of contracts from mobilisation through to completion. You'll ensure suppliers meet their contractual obligations, monitor performance, manage change, and provide commercial support that enables successful project delivery.
Working across multiple teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining strong supplier relationships while ensuring robust governance, compliance and commercial best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of strategic supplier contracts throughout their full lifecycle.
Oversee contract change requests, ensuring they progress through governance and approval processes efficiently.
Monitor supplier performance, identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans where required.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure successful contract delivery.
Produce regular reports on contract performance, spend, risks and key commercial metrics.
Develop and implement contract management plans that drive performance and continuous improvement.
Manage contract mobilisation, transitions, renewals and exit activities.
Monitor service levels and administer contractual remedies, including service credits and warranty claims where applicable.
Conduct compliance reviews to ensure contractual obligations are being met.
Support dispute resolution and negotiate commercially effective outcomes.
Review supplier financial stability and proactively manage any associated risks.
Analyse commercial and technical information to support informed decision-making.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Provide commercial support to key business initiatives and high-profile projects.
About You
You'll be an organised and commercially astute Contract Manager who enjoys building strong supplier relationships while ensuring contracts deliver maximum value.
You'll ideally have:
Experience managing high-value or complex contracts within infrastructure, construction, engineering, utilities or a similarly regulated environment.
Strong contract management and commercial negotiation skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
Experience managing supplier performance, risk and contract governance.
A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and driving value.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with excellent attention to detail.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
