JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will be part of a team based at Lenton Lane, Nottingham.
The successful candidate will design, build, test, and maintain electrical control panels used in industrial machinery and automation systems. They will ensure panels meet safety standards, client specifications, and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities
Control Panel Engineer
- Design electrical control panels using eDraw. Create wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings software
- Select appropriate components (PLCs, relays, circuit breakers, HMIs, etc.)
- Assemble and wire control panels according to designs
- Perform testing, inspection, and fault-finding of panels
- Record non-conformances and support corrective actions
- Provide feedback to engineering and production teams for continuous improvement
General
- Adhere to all procedures, protocols and other relevant memoranda as appropriate
- Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to all issues concerned within the company and adhering to the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1984, GDPR regulations

Academic Qualifications
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and control circuits
- HND in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience
- Electrical assembly experience
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with panel design software
- Knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
- Computer experience (e.g. Word/Excel and other packages) as well as email systems and other electronic media
- Previous experience of working in a busy environment
- May involve manual handling, standing for extended periods, and working with oils and machinery
