Are you a Controls Design Engineer looking to join a growing and innovative engineering business? This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well established company near Bournemouth, working on the design and development of bespoke automation and machinery solutions for customers across a range of industries.

You'll play a key role in delivering control system designs from concept through to commissioning, working with the latest automation technologies and collaborating closely with project, software, and manufacturing teams. The Role:

  • Design electrical control systems for automated machinery.
  • Create electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar.
  • Select PLCs, HMIs, drives, motors, sensors, and safety equipment.
  • Develop PLC and HMI software for machine control.
  • Ensure compliance with CE/UKCA and relevant industry standards.
  • Support build, installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Test, fault-find, and troubleshoot control systems.

What we are looking for:

  • 3 years experience min as controls design engineer
  • Softwares - open but they use solidworks and will train on this.
  • Experienced creating wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • HNC in electrical engineering or similar.
