Want to join an established law firm where you’ll have real autonomy, lead a team and have the opportunity to progress to Partner?
We’re working with a respected Wirral-based firm of solicitors that has been established for 75 years and is now looking for an experienced Licensed Conveyancer / Conveyancing Solicitor to play an important role in its next stage of growth.
You’ll be taking on asenior role within the conveyancing department, managing a team of around 10 people, while still having the freedom and autonomy to manage your own work.
And looking ahead, there is agenuine opportunity to progress to Partner, with potential equity in the business.

Alongside managing and supporting the conveyancing team, you’ll take responsibility for a varied caseload from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
Your role will include:
- Managing residential conveyancing matters including purchases, sales, remortgages and equity release
- Managing matters from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion
- Identifying relevant searches, carrying out title checks and enquiries and reporting on these
- Checking purchase and sale contract packs, mortgage reports and completion statements
- Preparing freehold and leasehold contracts
- Maintaining and developing relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders, solicitors and other sources of work
- Helping to grow the conveyancing department through recommendations, repeat business and new sources of work
- Maintaining excellent standards of client care
- Ensuring compliance with CQS protocols, lender requirements, SRA principles and Money Laundering Regulations
- Supporting the firm’s wider compliance responsibilities
- Leading, supporting and developing the wider conveyancing team
We’re looking for someone who is already experienced in conveyancing and is ready for a role with more responsibility, autonomy and long-term progression.
You’ll need:
- Strong residential conveyancing experience
- Experience managing your own caseload
- Excellent knowledge of the conveyancing process
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Confidence managing and supporting a team
- A good understanding of compliance requirements
- A commercial mindset and ability to build relationships
- The ambition to grow with the firm and potentially progress into partnership
