About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Corporate Support Manager to provide operational leadership and people management across a Corporate Support function during a period of organisational transition.
This is a key interim role responsible for ensuring the delivery of a consistent, responsive, and high-quality support service. The successful candidate will lead a team of Executive Support Officers and Business Support Officers, providing stability, accountability, and effective day-to-day management.
The role will focus on people leadership, operational delivery, workload management, service improvement, and stakeholder engagement, rather than direct executive support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support a team of Executive Support Officers and Business Support Officers.
- Take responsibility for team performance, attendance, conduct, capability, and staff development.
- Manage workloads and priorities to ensure effective delivery of corporate support services.
- Act as the escalation point for operational challenges and provide timely solutions.
- Coordinate resources within a matrix management environment.
- Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders and provide support on operational priorities.
- Oversee business support activities including administrative services, travel arrangements, and operational processes.
- Ensure services are delivered efficiently and in line with organisational policies and governance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance service delivery.
About You
You will be an experienced people manager with a strong background in corporate support, business operations, administration, or service delivery environments.
You will have:
- Proven experience managing administrative, business support, or corporate support teams.
- Strong experience in people management, including performance, attendance, conduct, and capability processes.
- Experience working within a matrix management environment.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and changing workloads effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders.
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within a public sector, government, or regulated environment.
- Experience supporting organisations through periods of change or transition.
- Relevant management qualification or equivalent professional experience.
