A day in the life of a Murphy Cost Controller:

  • Provide central support to the ASTI Portfolio 
  • Cost and Value Reporting
  • Change Control
  • Payment and Cashflow
  • Subcontract Procurement and Management
  • Contract Administration
  • Ongoing review of all project costs, including identification and reallocation of any erroneous costs.
  • Monitoring activities to ensure accurate and timely processing of payments, expense reports and other project related expenses.
  • Provision of accurate and timely cost reports to the project teams, in an established format, to facilitate the monthly reporting and application for payment cycle.
  • Assisting the project teams by providing information to contribute to accurate and robust forecasts for all projects.
  • Undertake all monthly journalling requirement for the projects, ensuring compliance with Murphy policy documents.
  • Provision of substantiation to recorded costs if requested from the Project Team or Client, including support during client audits.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the projects, including identifying and developing innovative methods for improving the cost control processes, process implementation and compliance validation. · Liaise with commercial team and process any master data changes and provide a point of contact for Power BI reporting for new and existing reports.
