Counter balance forklift driver

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, load, unload, and store goods while maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.

• Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations.
• Load and unload deliveries from lorries and containers.
• Move stock to designated storage locations.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch when required.
• Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.
• Ensure stock is handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts.
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and free from hazards.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse staff to meet daily targets.

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Additional forklift licences (Reach, Bendi, or PPT) are an advantage.
• Manual handling experience.
• Credited License 

• Reliable and punctual.
• Safety-focused with a proactive attitude.
• Flexible and willing to assist with general warehouse duties.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment.
• May involve lifting, standing for long periods, and working shifts, including weekends if required.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
