Counter balance forklift operator

FBR Construction Recruitment are seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operator to work on a night-shift refurbishment project within an ASDA store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely within a busy live refurbishment environment, assisting with the movement, loading and unloading of materials throughout the project.

Duties will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Moving building and refurbishment materials around site
• Distributing materials to designated work areas
• Assisting with site logistics and keeping access routes clear
• Carrying out daily safety checks on the forklift
• Working alongside trades, site management and delivery teams
• Assisting with general site duties when the forklift is not in operation
• Following all site health & safety procedures

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence/ticket – ESSENTIAL
• Valid CSCS Card – ESSENTIAL
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift
• Construction, fit-out or refurbishment experience preferred
• Full PPE
• Good understanding of site health & safety
• Reliable and comfortable working night shifts
• Ability to work as part of a fast-paced refurbishment team

Night shifts working on an ASDA store refurbishment. Exact shift times will be confirmed prior to starting.
