Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (preferred) will accept in house licence

We are currently recruiting for Counterbalance Forklift Drivers / Site Operatives on behalf of a well-established business based in Hixon, Staffordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company operating within the aluminium recycling industry, offering long-term stability and excellent earning potential.

Shift Pattern

• 12-hour shifts
• Rotating pattern of:
  • 2 weeks on Days
  • 2 weeks on Nights
• Monday to Thursday
• 4 days on, 3 days off

Pay Rates

• £15.00 per hour during training
• £15.60 per hour once fully trained

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading materials and products
• Moving stock throughout the site and production areas
• Supporting the recycling and processing operations
• Carrying out general site operative duties as required
• Conducting daily forklift and equipment checks
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
• Assisting with production activities when required

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (preferred)
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
• Experience within recycling, manufacturing, production or heavy industry would be advantageous
