Cover Supervisor / Stoke-on-Trent / June Start / Fixed-Term Contract

Are you confident leading a classroom and supporting students in their learning? Do you have experience working with young people and managing behaviour effectively?

Academics is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming middle school in the Stoke-on-Trent area who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join their team from after May half-term through to the end of the summer term (17th July). This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity covering classes across KS2 and KS3.

Cover Supervisor - Role Information:

• Supervise full classes of students
• Deliver pre-planned lesson materials across KS2 and KS3
• Provide cover across a range of subjects as required
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies

Cover Supervisor - Applicant Requirements:

• Confident and professional classroom presence
• At least 2 months UK-based experience working with young people (e.g., schools, coaching, tutoring, etc)
• An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within schools
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
