Academics Canterbury is currently recruiting enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across East Kent.
Due to exceptionally high demand from our partner schools, we are looking to expand our team. We receive a large number of daily cover requests from schools across Canterbury, Thanet, Dover and Folkestone and are currently unable to keep up with demand, creating fantastic opportunities for new Cover Supervisors to secure regular work.
We are keen to hear from graduates from a wide range of subject backgrounds, including:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with the work set and maintaining a positive learning environment. No teaching qualification is required, making this an excellent opportunity for graduates looking to gain school-based experience.

Many of our former Cover Supervisors have gone on to complete teacher training and achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). The classroom experience gained through supply work has helped them build confidence, develop their skills and successfully progress into teaching careers.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Hold a degree or are currently studying towards one
- Are confident communicating with young people
- Have strong organisational and classroom management skills
- Are reliable, adaptable and professional
- Have a genuine interest in education
- Have experience working with children or young people, which would be highly beneficial (for example through tutoring, coaching, mentoring, youth work, volunteering, or school-based roles)
