About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You'll help maintain a positive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and provide valuable support to the wider school team. Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across different subject areas.

• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.

• Ensure students remain focused, engaged and complete the work provided.

• Provide a calm, organised learning environment throughout the school day.

• Report on student attendance, behaviour and lesson outcomes to teaching staff.

• Build positive relationships with students and contribute to the school's supportive culture.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young people or within an educational setting is desirable.

• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Confidence leading groups of students independently.

• A flexible, proactive and professional approach.

• The ability to remain calm and organised in a busy school environment.

• A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development.

• Have the right to work in the UK.

• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.

• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
