Cover Supervisor - Primary

Location: Leicester & Leicestershire
Pay Rate: £100 - £130 per day (depending on experience, includes rolled up holiday pay)

GSL Education Leicester are currently recruiting a Primary Cover Supervisor to work across a range of welcoming, supportive, and forward-thinking primary schools throughout Leicester and Leicestershire.

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and adaptable education professional who can confidently deliver pre-planned lessons and inspire pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. The successful Primary Cover Supervisor will be working as part of an energetic and supportive team and will focus on maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and support pupils to remain engaged and motivated throughout the school day.

We are looking to recruit a Primary Cover Supervisor who is confident working with children of varying ages, abilities, and learning needs, including those who may face barriers to learning.

• Hold a degree or relevant Level 3 qualification
• Have experience working with children or young people
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
• Be confident leading classes independently and following lesson plans
• Have the ability to adapt to different year groups, learning styles, and needs
• Be flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing

Desirable:

• Experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or EAL needs
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or HLTA
• Knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
• QTS, PGCE, or other relevant teaching qualifications
