Primary Cover Supervisor – Derby

Revolve Collective is recruiting Primary Cover Supervisors to support classroom cover in Derby schools.

These assignments require relevant experience with primary-aged children and the confidence to manage a class within established school routines. Our partners include Catholic primary settings where supportive relationships and consistent expectations are central to school life.

This brief focuses on supervising activities prepared by teaching staff. The class, work set and arrangements for support will need to be clear before the assignment begins.

Keeping the class on track

You’ll explain activities, maintain pupils’ attention and follow the school’s behaviour procedures. You’ll also recognise when a child needs additional help, seek support appropriately and leave a clear account of the work completed.

Suitable professional backgrounds

Previous Primary Cover Supervisor experience is particularly relevant. We also welcome interest from Higher Level Teaching Assistants and Teaching Assistants who can demonstrate classroom-cover responsibilities.

Your application should show:

• Experience supervising groups in KS1 or KS2.

• Clear instructions and consistent behaviour management.

• An understanding of safeguarding.

• Sound judgement about when to involve teaching or senior staff.
