JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning across the school by supervising classes during teacher absence. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff looking to step into a more classroom‑led role.
Your responsibilities will include:

Classroom Supervision — Delivering pre‑prepared lessons to pupils aged 11–16, ensuring learning continues smoothly in the teacher’s absence.

Behaviour Management — Managing classroom behaviour using the school’s policies, maintaining a calm, productive learning environment.

Instruction & Guidance — Providing clear instructions, supporting pupils with tasks, and keeping them engaged throughout the lesson.

Adaptability — Covering a variety of subjects across the curriculum, adapting quickly to different classes and age groups.

Support for Learning — Assisting pupils with their work, answering questions, and ensuring they stay on task.

Professional Conduct — Building positive relationships with staff and students, demonstrating reliability, confidence, and strong communication skills.
This role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, think on their feet, and motivate learners with confidence and clarity.
Daily pay rate: £100- £120 per day (experience dependent)
