Teach Now is recruiting a capable Cover Supervisor for a secondary school opportunity in Hertfordshire.
You will supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils complete pre-prepared work and that lessons remain calm, focused and productive.
- Supervise KS3 and KS4 classes across a variety of subjects.
- Deliver work prepared by the class teacher.
- Explain instructions and keep pupils focused on assigned tasks.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Record any issues and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support departments and pupils where additional cover is required.
- Previous classroom, Cover Supervisor, TA or youth-work experience.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Confidence supervising groups of secondary-aged pupils.
- Good general literacy and numeracy.
- Reliable, organised and adaptable approach.
This could particularly suit experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates considering teaching or existing Cover Supervisors seeking a new school.
