Salary: £100-£120 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming secondary school in Berwick-upon-Tweed to recruit a Cover Supervisor. The school is committed to providing a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential, supported by a collaborative leadership team and dedicated staff.

The school is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor on a long-term basis from September. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise whole classes across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 during teacher absence, manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy, support students within the internal exclusion room when required, and work closely with the pastoral team to promote student wellbeing and personal development.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Level 3 qualification or be working towards one (desirable)
• Experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• A calm, flexible and positive approach to supporting young people
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
