Cover Supervisor

Ready to take the next step in your education career? Tradewind Recruitment are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school in Ellesmere Port.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, can confidently manage a classroom and wants to gain valuable experience within a supportive school environment.

The role will be working covering absent teachers lessons in various subjects where you will be expected to deliver lessons to the best of your ability whilst prioritising the safeguarding of children and encouraging positive behaviours.

The school are looking someone full time who can work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring students remain engaged and on track with their learning when their usual teacher is absent.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising classes across a range of subjects and year groups.
• Delivering pre-set work and ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
• Managing classroom behaviour confidently and consistently.
• Supporting students with their learning where appropriate.
• Creating a positive, calm and productive classroom environment.
• Following school policies and maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff where required.

To be considered for this role, we will need -

• Proof of Right to Work, this could be your Passport or Birth Certificate.
• A CV that covers 10 years of education or employment.
• A fully enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to process one with us. (We will refund the cost of the DBS)
