A well-regarded secondary school south of Stockport is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
• Maintain a positive, focused learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Support students with their learning and encourage high levels of engagement
• Take registers and provide clear feedback to teaching staff following each lesson
• Build positive relationships with students and work collaboratively with the wider school team
• Play an active role in the day-to-day life of the school

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Have experience working with secondary-aged students, ideally as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Sports Coach, Tutor, or in a similar role
• Be confident leading classes and managing behaviour positively
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be reliable, adaptable, and passionate about supporting young people
• Be able to provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check, and have the Right to Work in the UK
