Pay Rate: £15.00 - £16.50 per hour (dependent on pay type)
About the Role
We are recruiting a reliable, safety-conscious Traffic Marshall / Site Gateman for an ongoing construction project starting on Monday, 5th October 2026.
In this key site role, you will be responsible for managing all vehicle access, coordinating safe plant deliveries, and maintaining public safety at the main site entrances.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Guidance: Safely directing construction traffic, delivery lorries, and heavy plant in and out of the site using standard hand signals.
Gate Management: Logging all incoming/outgoing deliveries, checking delivery notes, and directing drivers to designated unloading areas.
Pedestrian & Site Safety: Managing pedestrian segregation near gates and keeping public walkways clear of site hazards.
General Site Support: Assisting with light site duties and sweeping gate areas during quieter delivery periods.
Strictly enforcing the site traffic management plan and health & safety protocols.
Requirements
Valid Traffic Marshall / Vehicle Banksman Ticket (CPCS, NPORS, or Lantra accredited essential).
Valid CSCS Card (Green Labourer card or above).
Full PPE (High-vis jacket & hi-vis trousers, steel toe boots, hard hat, and safety gloves).
Previous experience managing busy construction gates and site traffic.
Excellent communication skills, punctual, and reliable.
Right to work in the UK.
Working Hours & Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (40-45 hours per week).
Start Date: Monday, 5th October 2026.
Duration: Long-term ongoing work.
Weekly pay via CIS, Umbrella, or PAYE options.
