Craft Gardener required for our public sector client

Knighton Park Depot
Evington Park Depot
Abbey Park Depot

A full driving licence is essential 

Mondays to Thursday 7.30 - 3.30pm with half hour unpaid lunch.
Fridays 7.30 - 3.00 with half hour unpaid lunch.

Key Job Activities:

• Maintain horticultural features on green infrastructure, Parks, Housing and Highways land
• Prepare and maintain sports features, including artificial surfaces
• Maintain hard landscape features, including buildings
• Develop new hard and soft landscaping features
• Operate and maintain hand and mechanical specialist equipment used in the maintenance of features.
• Drive and operate a tractor
• Prepare and apply chemicals e.g. herbicides, fungicides, insecticides etc
• Keep sites clean and tidy
• Provide advice and support to customers using the facilities
• Complete routine paperwork
• Report any issues identified to the Team Leader
• Carry out other miscellaneous duties associated with the role

Experience

* Experience in either horticulture or groundsman ship

* Experience of working directly with customers

* Experience of using horticultural specialist equipment and chemicals

* Qualification in horticulture, groundsman ship or ecology

* Formal training in horticulture, groundsman ship and/or ecology

* Knowledge of Health & Safety issues relating to area of work and HASWA

* Valid driving licence
