Description
Key Responsibilities of a Lifting Supervisor:

Communication: Maintaining clear and effective communication with crane operators, signallers, and other relevant personnel.

Safety Management: Identifying and mitigating potential hazards, ensuring proper load security, and implementing risk management strategies.

Inspection and Maintenance: Conducting pre-lift inspections and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

Documentation: Maintaining records of lifting operations and reporting any incidents or near misses

Planning and Coordination: Developing and implementing lifting plans, coordinating personnel, and ensuring all equipment is in safe working order.

Supervision: Directing and overseeing lifting operations, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of lifting equipment, safety regulations, and risk assessment.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, make decisions under pressure, and communicate effectively.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication with all members of the lifting team.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform duties in a physically demanding environment.
- Training and Certification: Completion of a recognized lifting supervisor training program, such as a Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations (Construction), and holding a relevant card (e.g., CPCS or NPORS
