Crane Supervisor – Newmarket

Job Description

Munnelly Support Services is looking for an experienced Crane Supervisor to start on a project in Newmarket.

The role will involve working alongside a Telehandler Driver and supervising lifting operations on site, ensuring all movements are carried out safely and in line with the lift plan and site procedures.

  • Rate: £24.00 per hour – CIS/UTR
  • Hours: 08:00–18:00 – 9.5 hours paid per day
  • Location: Newmarket
  • Start Date: Monday 24 August 2026
  • Duration: Approx. 4 months

Duties

  • Working alongside the Telehandler Driver during lifting operations
  • Supervising and coordinating lifting activities on site
  • Banking/signalling the telehandler where required
  • Ensuring all lifts are carried out safely and in accordance with the lift plan
  • Controlling lifting areas and maintaining safe exclusion zones
  • Coordinating the movement and positioning of materials and loads
  • Communicating clearly with the Telehandler Driver and site team
  • Carrying out pre-lift checks and reporting any issues
  • Ensuring all site health and safety procedures are followed

Requirements

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS A62 Crane Supervisor qualification
  • Valid Fit to Work medical
  • Previous experience working as a Crane Supervisor
  • Good understanding of lifting operations and site safety
  • Experience working alongside plant operators and supervising lifts
  • UTR number and eligible to work on a CIS basis
  • Full PPE
  • Must be available to start Monday 24 August 2026
