Credit Controller in Castleford

The Role We're looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join a fast-growing business on a 6-month temporary basis. This isn't a sit-back-and-process role — the business is expanding quickly through both acquisition and organic growth, which means plenty of change, plenty to get stuck into, and real scope to make an impact on how things run.

You'll manage your own ledger(s), working across multiple Business Divisions, and be a key part of a wider Credit Control team supporting cash flow at a genuinely important time for the business.
Key Accountabilities
  • Manage own ledger(s), ensuring cash collection is made within customer payment terms
  • Manage multiple ledgers across various Business Divisions
  • Actively drive the reduction of invoice queries within the wider business
  • Flag any issues to the Credit Control Team Leader and/or Credit Manager that could impact cash collection
  • Prepare monthly ledger reports, detailing reasons for any variances
  • Get involved in ad-hoc projects and other duties as directed by the CCTL
What We're Looking For This role suits someone who's used to managing their own ledger with minimal fuss, comfortable juggling multiple divisions, and confident enough to flag issues early rather than let them become problems. Given the pace of change in the business, you'll need to be adaptable, organised, and happy getting involved in process and system improvements as the business evolves.
Previous experience in a similar credit control role, ideally across multiple ledgers or business units, would be a strong advantage.
