Credit controller in Ipswich, Suffolk

Job Title:  Credit controller

Location: Ipswich

Desired Start Date: ASAP

Deadline for application: 06/11/2026

Hours:  7.50/day Monday - Friday

Salary: £25,000 – £27,500

Role Overview:

Working in a fast paced environment, you will be responsible but not limited to overseeing the Sales Ledger and credit control function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Raising sales ledger invoices and upload to customer portals
• Issue customer/client statements
• Raising employee recharge invoices
• Reconciling customer/client accounts, liaising with them direct as necessary
• Chasing overdue invoices
• Setting up new customers and maintaining existing account details within the CRM and Accounting software

Other responsibilities as necessary:

• Bank reconciliations
• Process staff business expenses
• Process business credit card transactions
• Credit card reconciliations
• Match/process purchase invoices, reconciling to purchase orders on the business CRM system
• Sending monthly CIS statements to subcontractors
• Other ad hoc duties

Required Experience & Qualifications:

· An aptitude for IT – knowledge of software packages like Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PDF etc) and CRM Systems.

· Experience of Sage Line 50, Xero

· Experience of working within the Construction Industry and of the CIS scheme

· Previous experience in a similar role is essential

· Sage 50 Software

· Xero Software

· CRM Systems
