An exciting opportunity has become available for a Credit Controller to join a dynamic and supportive finance team within a well-established organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships with customers, managing accounts and ensuring payments are received on time through a professional and proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities for a Credit Controller:
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received within agreed timescales.
- Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices and overdue balances, building positive relationships while achieving collection targets.
- Provide invoices, statements and account information to customers when required.
- Monitor customer credit limits, account activity and payment performance to reduce financial risk.
- Process direct debits, take card payments and accurately update customer records.
- Chase outstanding remittances and allocate payments to ensure accounts remain up to date.
- Investigate and resolve invoice queries by liaising with customers and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate account records and support the wider finance team with day-to-day duties.
What we need from you as a Credit Controller:
- Previous experience within credit control, accounts receivable, debt collection, finance administration or a similar finance role.
- Strong communication skills with confidence speaking to customers over the phone.
- Experience managing customer accounts and dealing with payment queries.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Confident, organised and motivated with the ability to work independently.
