Credit Controller in Coventry, West Midlands

SF Partners are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a close-knit finance team. Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, you'll take ownership of your own customer ledger, building relationships, resolving queries and keeping overdue debt to a minimum.

This would suit someone who enjoys getting on the phone, investigating account queries and working closely with customers and sales teams to get payments in.

What You'll Be Doing

Chasing outstanding payments by phone and email.

Managing customer accounts within agreed credit terms and limits.

Setting up new accounts and carrying out credit checks.

Reconciling accounts and resolving queries that delay payment.

Working with the sales team to manage credit risk and overdue balances.

Taking ownership of your collection targets and aged debt.

What You'll Bring

Previous credit control experience would be advantageous, ideally within an SME or similar environment.

A confident, friendly telephone manner and the ability to build strong customer relationships.

Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to chasing payments.

Confidence using Excel.

The initiative to investigate queries and see them through to resolution.
