The Best Connection, one of the UK's leading recruitment businesses, is looking for a motivated and organised individual to join our Credit Control team at our Bromsgrove Head Office. This is a Temp to Perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent position after just 3 months, subject to a successful review.

The Role
As part of our busy and supportive Credit Control team, you'll play a key role in helping to manage customer accounts and ensure outstanding payments are collected efficiently.
Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Processing daily banking transactions and incoming cheques
✅ Allocating payments to customer accounts
✅ Contacting customers by phone, email and letter to recover outstanding debts
✅ Managing your own portfolio of customer accounts
✅ Investigating and resolving invoice queries and disputes
✅ Carrying out credit checks for new and existing clients
✅ Building strong relationships with colleagues across our network of 80+ UK branches, including senior management
This is a varied role that will give you valuable exposure to finance, customer service and account management in a fast-paced commercial environment.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Organised and able to prioritise workloads
- Confident communicating with customers and colleagues
- Comfortable working to deadlines and targets
- A proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Keen to learn and develop within a finance function
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous Credit Control experience (preferred but not essential)
- Experience within a finance or accounts-related role
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
Working Hours
🕘 Monday to Friday
37.5 hours per week
9:00am – 5:00pm (30-minute lunch break)
No weekends.
