My client is a highly regarded specialist legal practice advising on complex and high-value tax, financial and commercial matters. They act for sophisticated individuals, businesses and professional advisers, often in cases involving significant financial exposure and highly technical legal issues.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Criminal Litigation Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE and a particular interest in white collar crime and fraud. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to work on complex, high-value matters within a specialist and intellectually demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise and represent clients in relation to criminal and white collar crime matters, particularly fraud and tax-related offences
• Assist with complex investigations involving HMRC and other prosecuting and regulatory authorities
• Handle matters involving financial crime, tax fraud, VAT fraud and related allegations
• Conduct detailed legal and factual research and analyse complex evidence
• Prepare legal submissions, correspondence, advice and case documentation
• Support clients through investigations, enforcement action and potential litigation
• Work closely with senior lawyers, barristers, forensic professionals and other advisers
• Liaise directly with clients and professional advisers, providing clear and commercially focused advice
• Manage multiple complex matters with a high degree of independence

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE
• Strong experience in criminal litigation, white collar crime or fraud
• Experience of complex financial or tax-related matters advantageous
• Strong understanding of criminal law, procedure and evidence
• Experience dealing with investigations by HMRC, SFO, FCA, NCA or similar authorities beneficial
• Excellent analytical, research and drafting skills
• Strong advocacy and communication skills
• Commercially minded with sound judgment and attention to detail
• Ambitious, proactive and keen to develop a specialist practice
• Ability to take ownership of matters and work effectively with minimal supervision
