This Criminal Paralegal role offers exposure to a broad range of criminal defence matters, including serious crime, Crown Court cases and complex investigations. The Criminal Paralegal will work closely with experienced solicitors and advocates, gaining hands-on experience across all stages of the criminal process. The Role
As the Criminal Paralegal you will support solicitors across a varied criminal caseload.
The role will include:
* Assisting with Magistrates' Court and Crown Court matters
* Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries
* Reviewing evidence, disclosure and witness statements
* Drafting legal correspondence, applications and attendance notes
* Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, police stations and prisons
* Attending hearings, conferences and client meetings
* Supporting trial preparation and case strategy
The Criminal Paralegal?
You will have previous criminal law experience and be committed to developing your career within criminal defence.
The Criminal Paralegal must have:
* LPC or SQE qualification
* At least two years' criminal law experience
* Strong legal research and analytical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational and time management ability
* Ability to work under pressure and manage competing deadlines
