Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Crisis Management Centre (CMC) Analyst to join a dedicated Crisis Management team based in London.
Job Overview
This role sits within a dedicated team responsible for monitoring and responding to security incidents across the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. The successful candidate will support the preparation for, escalation of, response to and recovery from a range of incidents, including facilities-related disruptions and external security or geopolitical events.
Working within a 24/7 operational environment, the role also supports intelligence and threat analysis, travel security, business continuity, investigations and information management activities. This position offers exposure to global incidents and the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in crisis response, intelligence gathering and operational resilience.
Working Pattern
This is a business-critical 24/7 operation operating on a rotating six-week shift pattern.
Candidates will be required to work a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour day shifts, and 12-hour night shifts throughout the year, including weekends and public holidays, and to provide cover during periods of colleague absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, assess and respond to security incidents affecting operations across the EMEA region.
- Escalate incidents and deliver accurate, timely communications in line with established procedures.
- Support crisis and incident management activities, including preparation, response and recovery.
- Collect, evaluate and interpret information from multiple sources to support risk analysis and threat intelligence.
- Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and identify emerging trends and threats.
- Work closely with building security teams to manage onsite security incidents and safeguard people, assets and information.
- Assess and monitor travel risks, support high-risk travel activities and respond to travel-related incidents.
- Contribute to business continuity and operational resilience activities to support the delivery of critical services during disruptive events.
Person Specification
Essential
- Higher education and/or professional experience in security, international relations, intelligence, law enforcement, military or business resilience.
- Strong understanding of geopolitics, international security and current affairs across the EMEA region.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technical tools and processes in support of incident response.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences.
- Excellent Microsoft Office, IT and social media skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organised and effective in high-pressure or crisis situations.
- Strong knowledge of OSINT tools, techniques and platforms.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable
- Experience within a Security Operations Centre (SOC), GSOC or Crisis Management environment.
- Master's degree in Intelligence Studies, Security Studies or International Relations.
- In-depth regional knowledge of EMEA, particularly the Middle East or Western Europe.
- Additional language skills relevant to the EMEA region.
