An excellent opportunity has become available for a Shift Technician to join a leading global facilities management provider, working at a major financial services campus in Bournemouth.

The site forms part of a strategically important 24/7 operation supporting global banking, technology and financial services. You'll be working within a technically complex and highly resilient environment where engineering reliability is critical.

This is a hands-on position suited to an Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineer looking to develop their career within critical facilities.

The Role

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a large critical corporate site.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical and electrical building services.
  • Respond to plant alarms, equipment failures and engineering incidents.
  • Complete fault-finding and first-line repairs across M&E systems.
  • Work with equipment including HVAC, AHUs, pumps, electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems and BMS.
  • Monitor plant performance and identify potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Complete PPM schedules and ensure maintenance tasks are delivered to a high standard.
  • Support safe isolations, permits and contractor activities.
  • Carry out routine plant inspections and condition checks.
  • Record works accurately using the site's CAFM system.
  • Provide detailed engineering handovers between shifts.
  • Support emergency response and escalation procedures when required.
  • Work closely with the wider engineering team and specialist contractors.
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance and site procedures.

About You

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong practical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
  • Good understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services.
  • Critical environment experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
  • Experience with BMS, HVAC, UPS, generators or electrical distribution would be advantageous.
