Culture and Engagement Lead
Are you an experienced HR professional who enjoys making things happen, rather than just talking about what needs to change?
We are working with a food manufacturing business that is looking for an experienced Culture & Engagement Lead to join its team in the Romford area. They are looking for someone who will take ownership and challenge where things could be better.
The Role
We are looking for someone who is passionate about people, enjoys working with managers and employees, and has a track record of driving positive cultural change within a fast paced food manufacturing environment.
This is a role where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference. You will take ownership of the Culture Plan and Roadmap, helping the business build stronger teams, improve employee engagement and create an environment where people feel valued and supported.
Main Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the culture plan, working closely with leadership teams to drive positive change and make sure initiatives are delivered, rather than remaining ideas on paper.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives, including launching surveys, analysing results, presenting findings and working with managers to turn employee feedback into meaningful improvements.
- Support managers in making better use of existing performance management tools, ensuring conversations take place, actions are recorded and employees receive regular feedback and development opportunities.
- Take ownership of the onboarding process, ensuring new starters have a positive experience and identifying opportunities to improve how employees are welcomed and supported.
- AI and Technology: Explore practical ways to use AI and technology to make communication, engagement and people processes more efficient, effective and personal.
- Work closely with managers to build their confidence and capability, helping them have better conversations, manage performance and develop stronger teams.
Required
- CIPD Level 7 qualification, or currently working towards it (essential).
- A recognised coaching qualification (essential).
- Previous HR experience within food manufacturing or a similar fast paced operational environment (essential).
- A proven track record of driving cultural change and improving employee engagement.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience interpreting employee feedback, identifying trends and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
- Experience improving onboarding, performance management and employee engagement processes, with good attention to detail.
- A genuine interest in how AI and technology can improve the way businesses communicate and engage with employees.
