2-Year Project with Strong Prospect of Further Work

East Anglian Site Engineering is recruiting for an experienced Senior Structures & Culverts Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Leiston, Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on the delivery of key access road infrastructure associated with one of the UK's most significant construction projects. The successful candidate will play a leading role in the management, inspection, assessment and delivery of structures and culvert works throughout the project lifecycle.

We are open to candidates seeking either a permanent position or a self-employed contract arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee structures and culvert-related activities across the project.
  • Review and manage design information and technical submissions.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Coordinate with site teams, designers, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of structures and drainage assets.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the wider engineering team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and quality requirements.
  • Support programme delivery and identify engineering solutions to site challenges.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Structures Engineer, Senior Structures Engineer, Culvert Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong background in highways, infrastructure, civil engineering or major projects.
  • Experience with culverts, drainage structures, retaining walls, bridges or associated assets.
  • Good understanding of industry standards and engineering best practice.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and technical interfaces.
  • Relevant Civil Engineering qualification.
  • Chartered status (ICE or IStructE) desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
