The purpose of the Customer Compliance Manager is to ensure all customer metrics are delivered on time and accurately. The role reports to the Head of Technical and leads a small team.
Key stakeholders: Commercial team, Production and Procurement
Top key deliverables the successful Customer Compliance Manager will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all customer policies are delivered personally or through their team.
- Work to BRCGs V9 codes of practice for multiple top British retailers
- Measurables are driven by a score of 90% or higher in customer audits.
- Customer KPI’S where set are delivered to a score of 90% plus.
- Customer specifications are delivered on time with a degree of accuracy of a maximum of 2 iterations only.
- Customer artworks are delivered on time with a degree of accuracy of a maximum of 2 iterations only.
- Supporting the NPD program to ensure no late launches due to technical delays.
Additional responsibilities
- Ensure all product packaging strictly complies with relevant food and consumer labelling requirements
- Support the Head of Technical with the strategic direction of the technical department.
- Ensure that all activity within the technical department is lead with a focus on food safety and business culture.
- Support the development of your team through mentorship, training and effective communication.
- Deliver effective 1:1 meetings with the direct reporting team, keeping minutes on outcomes and develop strategies for where improvements are required.
- Work closely with the roles peer group in developing a plan for continuous improvement in all elements of quality culture.
- Support all technical business projects in aiding an on-time delivery
- Support department business responsibilities.

The successful Customer Compliance manager will have:
- A qualification in Food Science (Degree or Diploma)
- 5+ years relevant experience i.e. in a similar type role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present confidently and persuasively.
- Organised with great time management skills and a common sense approach
- Self-motivation, Team working and Flexible and adaptable working practices
- Problem solving ability & Proactive can do attitude
- IT Skills – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Work authorisation: Existing UK work authorisation is required/ Please note there is no visa sponsorship available for this role
