ACS Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business in Northampton for a Customer Service & Account Coordinator to join its friendly, collaborative team.
This is a varied, customer-focused role where you'll be responsible for supporting existing clients while helping new customers get started with the business. From managing enquiries and processing orders to setting up new accounts and building lasting relationships, you'll play a key part in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
What you'll be doing
- Customer Service: Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and live chat, providing helpful, professional and timely support.
- Order Management: Prepare accurate quotations, manage backorders and keep customers updated on order progress.
- Account Support: Work closely with the Key Account Manager to ensure customers receive a first-class service.
- New Customer Onboarding: Welcome new customers, guide them through the account setup process and ensure they have everything they need to get started.
- Account Administration: Set up customer accounts accurately, including contact details, delivery addresses, pricing agreements and branding requirements.
- Customer Relationships: Introduce new customers to the product range, ordering processes and available services, keeping in touch during their first few weeks.
- Customer Portals: Create and customise online customer portals, tailoring product selections and ordering options to individual requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside the Business Development team, supporting customer meetings, smooth handovers and a seamless onboarding experience.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and enjoys building positive relationships.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in customer service, customer support, account coordination or a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Good IT skills, including confidence using email and online systems.
- Experience with CRM systems or customer account platforms would be advantageous.
- A proactive, friendly and solutions-focused approach, with excellent attention to detail.
- Salary of £27,000–£30,000, depending on experience.
- Access to a company-wide profit-sharing bonus scheme.
- Monday to Friday working hours, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
- Full-time, office-based position in Northampton.
