Customer Service Administrator - Temporary Peak Period

Temporary Assignment | £13.55 per hour | Basildon

Our client, a leading international Freight Forwarder, is currently looking for a Customer Service Administrator to join their busy Service Centre in Basildon.

This is a temporary position to support our client during their busy peak period, starting in October.

You will be the first point of contact for both internal and external customers, providing a professional, efficient and high level of customer service while ensuring company procedures, compliance requirements and performance targets are met.

Monday to Friday
10:00am - 6:30pm

Pay Rate

£13.55 per hour

The Role

As the first point of contact for the Service Centre, you will handle customer queries, provide administrative support and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.

You will be expected to provide excellent customer service at all times, deal with queries efficiently and professionally, and work closely with colleagues to maintain high service levels.

Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for all internal and external customers contacting the Service Centre.
Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
Respond to customer queries in line with company standards and procedures.
Deal professionally with customers visiting the Service Centre.
Respond to problem shipments and ensure redistribution is arranged in accordance with company standards.
Act as the Service Centre receptionist.
Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth running of the Service Centre.
Use a range of computer systems and applications as part of your daily duties.
Plan and organise your workload to ensure maximum efficiency.
Manage day-to-day tasks and seek support when required.
Work effectively as part of a team to achieve service and performance targets.
Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure consistently high service levels.
Follow all company procedures, including Health & Safety and Working Time regulations.
Maintain a professional appearance, including wearing the required uniform and ID pass.
Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.

Previous administration or customer service experience is preferred.
Professional and positive approach to dealing with customers and colleagues.

This is a temporary position to support our client during their busy peak period, starting in October.

Successful candidates will be required to complete:

A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Five years of employment/reference history checks following the initial interview stage.
