Our client, a well-established organisation based in Doncaster, is looking to recruit a Customer Service Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 4:30pm
The Role
As a Customer Service Administrator, you will play a key role in delivering an excellent after-sales experience, ensuring customer enquiries are handled professionally and efficiently from initial contact through to resolution. The role will also involve supporting day-to-day sales administration activities, including processing orders, preparing quotations and coordinating schedules.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver first-class support to customers by handling after sales enquiries via telephone and email.
- Assist customers with a range of issues including product concerns, repairs, replacements, returns and warranty-related matters.
- Keep customers informed throughout the resolution process, ensuring communication is accurate, professional and timely.
- Process customer orders and quotations, ensuring all information is accurate and completed within agreed timeframes.
- Coordinate schedules and liaise with internal teams to support the smooth delivery of products and services.
- Maintain and update company databases and internal systems with relevant customer information and case details.
- Work closely with internal teams to identify the root cause of customer concerns and help drive effective solutions.
- Arrange and oversee remedial actions, including coordinating repairs and replacement products where necessary.
- Refer more complex or sensitive cases to senior management for further guidance and resolution.
- Monitor the progress of returned items and warranty claims, ensuring cases are concluded efficiently.
- Compile and analyse after-sales data, producing reports on customer complaints, returns activity, warranty performance and response metrics.
The Successful Candidate
- Previous experience within a customer service and/or administrative role is essential.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications & ERP / MRP systems.
