Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an expanding organisation based in Tamworth. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team as Customer Service Operations Support on a full-time permanent basis.

Personality
You’ll be a personable, organised and proactive individual who enjoys being at the centre of a busy customer service operation. You’ll have excellent attention to detail and be confident managing multiple priorities while ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Naturally solutions-focused, you’ll be comfortable investigating issues, communicating with different departments and taking the initiative when challenges arise. You’ll be adaptable, calm under pressure and a supportive team player, with a genuine focus on delivering a high standard of service and keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Package and benefits

  • Monday to Friday (40hrs a week)
  • 9:30am – 5:30pm

Pension            

  • 3% employer contribution, 4% employee contribution, 1% tax relief, pensions advisor to visit the site twice a year

Holiday Entitlement

  • 23 days holiday plus 8 statutory bank holidays. After 3 years’ service this increases to 24 days plus BH and at 6 years’ service it increases again to a maximum of 25 days plus BH.
  • After completing 6-month probationary period, all employees are entitled to up to 5 days unpaid annual leave in addition to their paid allowance. This is pro-rata in the first part year, following probation.

Job Role:

  • Providing administrative and operational support across Customer Service and wider departments
  • Coordinating deliveries, collections and carrier activity while tracking PODs, failed deliveries and daily delivery reporting
  • Liaising with warehouse teams and carriers to investigate delivery issues and minimise disruption to customers
  • Processing replacement orders, sample requests and internal orders while monitoring back orders and stock
  • Producing and analysing operational reports, identifying trends, potential issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Preparing customs documentation and supporting accurate declarations for Irish and Northern Irish deliveries
  • Collaborating across Customer Service, Quality, Warehouse and other departments to resolve operational challenges and support customer satisfaction


Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrating previous experience within a customer service or administrative role
  • Possessing excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Demonstrating strong attention to detail and maintaining accuracy within a busy working environment
  • Communicating confidently and professionally while working collaboratively across different teams
  • Using Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel confidently
  • Demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
  • Having experience using ERP, CRM or order management systems would be advantageous
  • Holding GCSE Mathematics and English Language at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent
