Are you an experienced Customer Service Administrator or Office Administrator looking for a part-time role with a professional, friendly business in Newark?
We're looking for someone who enjoys dealing with people, is highly organised and takes pride in getting the detail right. This is a varied office-based role combining customer service, administration and order processing, working closely with Sales, Warehouse and Supply Chain.
About the role
You'll be responsible for helping customers throughout the order process, making sure orders are processed accurately and that any queries or issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.
You'll be working across different systems and departments, so we're looking for someone who is confident, organised and able to manage a busy and changing workload.
What you'll be doing

Answering incoming customer calls and dealing with enquiries professionally.

Processing customer orders accurately.

Responding to incoming and outgoing emails and correspondence.

Liaising with customers regarding their orders and providing delivery and tracking information.

Arranging collections and working with the Warehouse team on ad-hoc orders.

Working closely with Sales, Warehouse, Supply Chain and Customer Support to resolve queries and keep orders moving.

Updating information across internal systems and ensuring data is accurate.

Handling customer queries and resolving issues wherever possible.

Maintaining accurate records, filing and archiving.

Providing general administrative support to the wider team.
What we're looking for
Previous office-based customer service and administration experience is essential.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

Proven experience working in a customer service and/or office administration role.

Desirable experience
The following isn't essential, but will be advantageous and may influence where you sit within the salary range:

Previous experience processing customer orders.

Order fulfilment or sales administration experience.

Logistics or supply chain administration experience.

Experience working with SAP or another ERP system.

CRM experience.

Experience liaising with warehouses, couriers or carriers.

Experience dealing with UK and international deliveries.

Previous experience working within a manufacturing, distribution or similar environment.
Salary & hours
£25,000–£29,000 FTE, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will need to have proven office-based customer service and administration experience. Candidates with additional experience in order processing, logistics, SAP/ERP or supply chain will be particularly well suited and may be considered towards the upper end of the salary range.
The role is part-time initially, likely to be around 9.30am–3.00pm Monday to Friday, although the exact working pattern can be agreed with the hiring manager.
The standard working week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, with flexitime around core hours.
Following successful completion of a four-month probationary period, there is the opportunity to move to hybrid working, with up to two days per week from home. Monday office attendance is required.
